Sanctuary Arts School was founded in 2018 and received its 501 (c) 3 nonprofit

status in 2019.  Sanctuary Arts School has a glass studio in Shreveport, LA and a

paint studio and gallery in Bossier City, LA (websites: sanctuaryglassstudio.com,

sanctuarypaintparty.com and sasgallerie.com). Anyone is invited to book a glass blowing or paint workshop or party with us. Our nonprofit programming reaches over 8000 people in Caddo Parish. We provide free art classes to the underserved communities and those at risk. We reach the children in affordable housing and the elderly in nursing homes. We provide free art classes for over 12 other nonprofits including The Providence House, Volunteers of America, Goodwill Industries, Common Ground, The Lovewell Center (The HUB), The Renzi Education & Art Center, Community Renewal, Louisiana Association for the Blind, Volunteers for Youth Justice, Shreve Memorial LIbraries and we provide free glassblowing classes for military with PTSD. This is the Glass Warrior program.

Throughout the year we provide free demonstrations, lectures and workshops. Education is a key element to our programming. We reach thousands of children through Title One Schools and Caddo Parish schools. At Sanctuary Glass Studio we have Artist-in-Residence and Visiting Artists. We participate in the Red River Revel and our Director curates art exhibitions throughout the Gulf South. You can follow Sanctuary Arts School, Sanctuary Glass Studio, SAS Gallerie and Sanctuary Paint Party on Facebook for updates. Call us at 504-390-4377 if you want to donate or volunteer.
